How can we enhance the running experience for everyone, especially women?

We saw a BBC news segment yesterday morning about women being harassed while running alone or in groups. This got us to thinking about adding a new feature to our app to collect data on such incidents.

With over 13,000 runners using connectMyClub nationwide, we believe valuable data on harassment could be gathered.

We're envisioning a simple map where users can mark the location of the harassment and add the date/time. Alternatively, a one-click button could be used, though it might not be practical for someone to use their phone in that moment. Over time, this data could be compiled and presented to the relevant authorities.

An in-app heatmap could be created to highlight the worst areas, helping runners know which places to avoid.

We'd love to hear your thoughts. Would this be a useful tool?
