connectMyClub vs Olympiq

Two club apps, built for different kinds of clubs.

connectMyClub and Olympiq

Olympiq is a newer UK club app that compares itself to connectMyClub, so here is a fair side-by-side

Where connectMyClub goes further

Olympiq's comparison page lists twelve general features: website, app, session booking, refunds, memberships, trials, messaging, championships, fees, shop, and kit rental. We cover most of those too. What it leaves out is everything specific to endurance sport.

  • Training groups, tap-in registers, and waiting lists built around how running, triathlon, and cycling sessions actually work.
  • Garmin and Apple Watch apps, LiveMap, and parkrun barcodes on the wrist and on the phone.
  • Race results from Garmin, Strava, Wahoo, and Suunto feeding straight into club results, PBs, and SBs.
  • ActiveSafe, incident reports, and governing-body disclaimers for safety and compliance.

Where Olympiq is different

Olympiq is a general-purpose club app and we want to be straightforward about what that means for you.

  • No fixed fees. Olympiq charges per booking rather than a subscription, with payouts to your own Stripe account. connectMyClub is free for clubs under 50 members, and then £1 per member per year with every core feature included.
  • Club kit rental (such as bike box hire) and a club shop are on Olympiq's roadmap.
  • Sport-agnostic. That suits some clubs well, but it means Olympiq does not list the endurance features above.

Olympiq information is taken from its public website and comparison page. Where a feature is not mentioned there, we show it as "not listed" rather than assume it is missing.
