Welcome to Haverhill Running Club (HRC).
Founded in 1998 and located in the Suffolk town of Haverhill in the UK, HRC is a friendly and all-inclusive club, open to everyone who has an interest in running, regardless of age or ability.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a novice taking your first steps, we’ll encourage you to pursue your personal goals, at your own pace, in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Our vision is to create a positive, healthy, diverse, and socially connected running community, where everyone feels supported and valued.
The values underpinning our vision are as follows:
We provide a safe and inclusive running community where everyone is welcome and respected, and where diversity is embraced.
We ensure running is accessible by making membership affordable and helping remove barriers to participation.
We are passionate about running, we celebrate individual and team achievements, and we show resilience through peer support.
We support and encourage everyone to believe in themselves, to achieve their goals in a healthy and positive way, and to challenge themselves to be the best they can be.
We demonstrate social responsibility by supporting and working with the local community.
As an England Athletics Affiliated Club, we offer a variety of coach-led training sessions on Tuesdays for all abilities, and club runs on Thursdays that are flexible enough for chatting or thresholding. In addition, there are a variety of events held across the year that offer our members the opportunity to compete individually or as a team, or to simply come together to socialise and have fun.
If you are completely new to running, or perhaps returning to running after illness or injury, we offer regular beginners courses that will equip you with all the skills and techniques to run a full 5K.
And last but by no means least, we have a thriving Junior section, which caters specifically for the needs of children and young people from 8 to 17 years of age. Our juniors, led by a dedicate junior coaching team, train at 6.30pm on Tuesdays (for ages 12-17), and on Thursdays (for ages 8-17).
So what are you wating for? Come join us and subscribe to our motto: "Running Stronger Together"
